Linkin Park.
Popular nu-metal band Linkin Park, fronted by Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda, has been together since 1996. They released their first album Hybrid Theory in October 2000, and have been hot news ever since, releasing three studio albums, all of which have performed incredibly well globally, and two live albums including Road to Revolution, filmed at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes. They have also released 18 singles, including What I’ve Done and New Divide both of which featured in Transformers films. The films of which Linkin Park were apparently desperate to be a part of, as soon as the first one was announced. Linkin Park’s sound, although deemed nu metal, or alternative rock, is also considered to be quite experimental, mixing conventional rock with rap and hip hop, thanks to Mike Shinoda and the band’s regular partnership with hip hop giant Jay-Z. The band have released two remix albums, Reanimation which see’s the band remixing many tracks from Hybrid Theory, and Collision Course, which saw Linkin Park tracks remixed with Jay-Z tracks, the most popular being Numb/Encore.
